Resources under development/production
Arabic Language Package produced by Dr Muhammad Mustafa (a leading educationalist and Arabic teacher). Consists of 6 stages with each stage having a textbook, exercise book, teachers guide book and accompanying cassette/CD.
Quranic Tajwid Package – consists of a standardised text book with accompanying cassette/CD.
Quranic Tafsir Project – covering the main interpretations found in the classical tafsir works in the English language.
Islamic Fiqh Package – covering purity and salah, fasting, zakat and hajj. Text/reference books on each of the aforementioned areas will be published. Other titles will cover the fiqh of marriage and family, life and death, business and inheritance.
Islamic Spirituality Package – consists of textbook, audio and visual products (from courses/seminars), wird book and self development handbook.
Islamic Revival Package – consists of textbook, audio and visual products (from courses/seminars) and biographies.
Islamic Arts Package – consists of textbook, calligraphy works, design/art book and classical/contemporary.
Introduction to Islamic Sciences Series –new series of books on Islamic Belief, Law & Jurisprudence, Spirituality, Quran, Hadith, History, Sirah and Dawah & Revival.
Personal Development Programme (PDP) – a handbook/manual on Islam consisting of all major basic knowledge/teachings of Islam. An accompanying CD is also being produced. A team of 30 researchers is working on this project.
Islamic Finance Package.
Islamic Family Package.
All the resources are being produced under the guidance and supervision of qualified and experienced scholars and experts in their respective fields.
The resources will be promoted in mosques, Islamic centres, schools, universities, bookstores, libraries and educational institutions.
Online Courses & Resources
iidr.org provides online courses and resources. Online courses are taught by qualified scholars and teachers and will have an international audience.
Question and Answer facility is in integrated into the website with scholars specialising in different fields issuing legal opinions or giving general advice.
The website includes soft copies of all IIDR publications as well as links to relevant articles/reviews/courses/products/materials.
European Muslim Scholarship Trust
Establish scholarship funds for students pursuing Arabic, Shariah, Islamic Studies, Quranic Studies, History, Anthropology, Islamic Art, Graphic Design, Journalism, International Relations, Human Resources Management, Translation and Research.
Scholarships cover tuition/course fees, accommodation, travel and course materials.
Funds are also allocated for scholars and teachers working in collaboration with IIDR to promote its aims and objectives.
Ibn Battuta Tours
Ibn Battuta Tours is a subsidiary of IIDR which organises educational visits to different countries. In addition to visiting historic sites and tourist attractions participants also meet prominent scholars, leaders, artists, thinkers, entreprenours, women, youth and welfare organisations and government officials.
IIDR seeks to combine professionally organized and enjoyable tourism with valuable Islamic learning. Tours of Muslim China, Spain, Egypt and Turkey are aimed at providing a direct experience of the cultural genius and lasting legacy of those Islamic civilizations. The tours will also aim to discover the historical and cultural roots of Islam in the archipelago and explore workings in the context of modernity.
An audio-visual record of all international trips is preserved with view to producing them as multimedia resources/guidebooks/etc.
Countries planned for tours – China, Turkey, India and Egypt.
